Tax Credit

In addition to the savings on fuel and reduction of emissions, did you know that electric vehicles are available with a tax credit as an added incentive? Whether you select the Audi e-tron® or Tesla Model X, California residents receive the $2,500 California Clean Vehicle Rebate.

Federal rebates are also available to e-tron® and Tesla Model X drivers as well. Should you choose the 2019 Audi e-tron®, you'll receive an estimated $7,500 federal tax credit. You can expect an estimated $1,875 federal tax credit for the Tesla Model X.

Free Charging

As an added bonus, Audi gives e-tron® owners 1,000 kWh of charging to use at Electrify America fast-charging stations within the first four years of ownership. With 16,000+ Electrify America charging stations throughout the country, with plans of adding over 480 more in the future, you will have peace of mind no matter where your next journey awaits. A home charging capsule is also available through Amazon. It can charge in about nine hours from a 240 volt/50 amp outlet.

Tesla currently offers unlimited charging at its supercharger stations for drivers who buy a new Model X. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has gone back and forth on offering free supercharging, calling the program "unsustainable" at one point. Although you may benefit from free supercharging upfront, the terms and program could potentially change in the future.
