Performance
Engine
The new Audi Q5 comes with a 261-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 273 pound-feet of torque. However, the new Audi Q5 e (Q5 TFSI e) is even more powerful. Its powertrain consists of a 17.9 kWh battery pack, an electric motor, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This system combines to make 362 horsepower and 369 pounds-feet of torque, which comes in handy for merging onto the freeway in Los Angeles.
Acceleration
When properly equipped, the new Audi Q5 can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. People in Westwood may be surprised to know that the new Audi Q5 e can make the 0-to-60 sprint in only 5.0 seconds.
Fuel Economy
The new Audi Q5 gets 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway when equipped with its standard gas engine. Brentwood drivers will like that the new Audi Q5 e earns 61 MPGe or 27 mpg combined.
Ride and Handling
Both the new Audi Q5 and the new Audi Q5 e come standard with quattro® all-wheel drive, so they both have confidence-inspiring road grip and handling around turns. Both models also have accurate steering and a well-damped suspension for a smooth, balanced ride. The Q5 has a slightly smaller turning radius, so it's a bit easier to maneuver through tight spaces in Culver City than the Q5 e.
Interior
Passenger Space
Both the new Audi Q5 and the new Audi Q5 e have seating for five people. Their cabin dimensions are almost identical, except that the Q5 e has 40.2 inches of front head room compared to 39.6 inches in the Q5.
Cargo Space
Both the new Audi Q5 and the new Audi Q5 e have 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and up to 54 cubic feet of room when you fold down the back seats. However, the gas-powered Q5 is also offered in a Sportback version that has 24.7 cubic feet of room under the hatch and 51.9 cubic feet of cargo space with its second row folded.
